The Builder Continues to Come Along

Update
August 22, 2023

The last dev log update discussed how Collections could house more than just Roll Tables, allowing them to be dynamic. The builder has been refined further to allow for headers, paragraphs, boxed text, and links to other collections to live within Collections alongside Roll Tables. This marks a major stride in my understanding of how people might use the site.

The major effect this had on the structure of the site was one of organization. Roll Tables and Collections (multiple entities composed together) now live within another entity called a Supplement. While this change disallows for some of the original ideas I had for the site, this slight shift in structure will help immensely when it comes to organization. Now that Roll Tables and Collections live within Supplements, it's easier to keep everything straight. It's much easier now to work on multiple Supplements at the same time as everything remains in its own little sandbox.

The site is close to being ready for me to really start telling people about it. I have finished most of the features I want to tackle for the initial release but now I need to start making content to show it off. I have also created a feature to have free samples of supplements, and while the feature is completely ready, I don't have any samples to show off just yet. Stay tuned for the next update where I hopefully share some of the samples I have created.
